As a nod to this ending year and the house and the village we left this autumn, two photos of last May in the calendar today. These adorable bambins all dressed up as little provencaux to celebrate the choosing of the young girl of May, the Maio, in Fourques.
And as it is the last year of reign of the queen of Arles, Caroline Serre, a photo of her, clothed as a country girl to honour the village, mingling with the festive crowd in front of the village church.
Aujourd'hui pour le calendrier un clin d'oeil au village qu'on a quitté cet automne, Fourques: des adorables bambins habillés en petits provecaux et Caroline Serre, la reine d'Arles encore jusqu'à Juin prochain. A Fourques il est de coutume de choisir une jeune fille pour symboliser le mois de Mai et le retour des beaux jours: le Maio.
